The purpose of the children's ministry at Queensway Baptist Church is to provide an opportunity for the children to study the Bible, to learn how to apply those truths in their every day lives and to make friendships with others in the Sunday School.
Sunday School begins at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning from September to May with a break during the summer. Our classes are age specific:
Nursery - 0-2 Years
Preschool - 3-5 Years
Primary - 6-8 Years
Junior - 9-11 Years
Note that classes also exist for youth and adults. There are special theme Sundays spread throughout the year. Our Sunday School is missions-minded and the children learn about other cultures and their customs over the course of the year. Our teachers love teaching the children in their age group and use a variety of teaching methods.
We have three Children's Church programs that run during the morning worship service. Primary Church is for children ages 3 to 5 years old. The Primary Church program this year is focusing on "God's Big Picture" with stories and activities from God's Word. Junior Church is for children ages 6 to 8 years old. The Junior Church program this year is focusing on "God's Kids Grow" with stories and activities from God's Word. Pre-teen Church is for children ages 9 to 11 years old. The Pre-Teen Church program this year is focusing on learning more about who Jesus is and how to study the Bible.
Our Children's Church workers are volunteers who love the children they work with.
Seniors meet every third Friday of the month from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm for a potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall.
The young adults meet Sunday evenings, led by Paul and Libby Hooper.
